Good morning family
and friends,
I was out fishing off the dock at 7 a.m. and shortly after I started casting I
could see fish heading for the big lake.
After several dozen casts, I caught this fish with a hula popper and as I am prone to do, I had neither bucket, nor net to bring him in.....

Thank Goodness Paul was in his pontoon boat and after calls to Lowell failed to rouse him, Paul went up and got the net and I got him in. Had we not had the net, I probably would have lost him because as soon as he was in the net and started thrashing around he broke my line.
We took him up to the metal table to get the lure out which he had way down his throat. It too the needle nose pliers to retrieve it. I placed him down to measure him and he caught a hook as he was flinging on the wood plank. I had thought he would die in the process and was prepared to keep him/her. After determining he was 18 plus inches and 4.5 pounds, Largemouth, I put him in bucket of water and he began to swim around so we returned him to the lake.
Gotta go to church. More later on the adventures of Grandma T. in Maine.
Thank you God for Connermara north and fishing.....
love to all,
God bless you all,
grandma t.
